July 4 Fireworks

Posted by on 2 in Neighborhood News

As you may know, the David and Carol Van Andel Family Foundation, through the auspices of the Holland Harbor Lighthouse Historical Commission, is again sponsoring fireworks off the south pier Saturday, the Fourth of July. Usually the public is invited to enjoy this patriotic display. However, this year, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a smaller beach and the need for distancing, Macatawa Park will not be open to the public on that day. Only residents/renters from Macatawa Park, the Cottages at Pt.West and members of Eldeans Marina may use the beach to view the fireworks. Any invited guests must show the gatehouse staff a PASS that will have been emailed to all residents, renters and marina members. Otherwise, the fireworks will have to be watched from the north side of the channel or from a boat or other spot outside of the Park.

We are hoping to be able to share our beach during fireworks next year. In the meantime, our community effort aims for everyone to distance/wash your hands/wear a mask when you go inside a store or building. Stay safe and help others stay safe.

Happy Fourth of July!
